Lemon Detox
The lemon detox diet is a food regimen gaining serious popularity among the Hollywood crowd. This diet will help you reach your goal of loosing weight quickly. It works by majorly decreasing your caloric intake while providing a feeling of being full.
As with most fast weight loss diets, there are risks associated with lemon detox. Ultimately, even though the diet calls for massive consumption of liquid, it can lead to dehydration problems. Additionally, it can disrupt the bodies fluid and electrolyte balance. Other side effects include fatigue, irritability, and headaches.
Here are the steps required for a making a lemon detox drink:
- Add a half of freshly squeezed lemon (no pulp or seeds) to 4 ounces of drinking water
- Add 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup.
- Add a pinch of your favorite Cayenne Pepper or Ground Ginger.
- Stir and add another four ounces of cold water. Stir again.
Here are the rules for the diet:
- Drink six to eight times a day for 7 to 14 days.
- Make sure the water is ice-cold before drinking
- Do not eat solid foods while on the diet.
- Only use pure maple syrup; other syrups may contain sugars and preservatives that may reverse the weight loss effects.
- Only use pure lemon juice.
Precautions:
- At first, you may feal sluggish; so excercise caution and make sure you are not too fatigued to perform your normal daily activities.
